Helen B. Heilman, 30 W. Church St., Annville, died last evening in the Hershey Medical Center. She was 55. Her husband, Lloyd K. Heilman, died Sept. 17, 1971.
Born in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Valeria Rudy Bemesderfer. She was secretary for the Halcyon Activity Center of Lebanon. She was a member of Hill Lutheran Church, Cleona, and was a former member of the church council and a member of Chappy's Sunday School Class. A 1938 graduate of Annville High School, she served on the board of the Lebanon County Unit of the American Cancer Society and the Lebanon County Historical Society. She was also a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and was instrumental in starting the Reach-To-Recovery Program of the Lebanon County Unit of the Lebanon County Historical.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth L., Palmyra; two grandchildren, Holly and Heather, and five sisters: Mrs. Luella Starry, Lebanon; Isabel, wife of Sterling Hoffman, Palmyra; Pearl Speck, Annville; Julia, wife of Warren Habecker, Hershey and Mary Lou, wife of Robert Donley, Myerstown RD 3.
