J. Mark Hoffer, 83, Lebanon, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008, in his residence. He was the husband of Anna G. Elsesser Hoffer, to whom he was married 57 years, having been married June 24, 1950. He was born in Lebanon April 24, 1924, son of the late Harry K. and Lizzie Brubaker Hoffer. He was retired from Quaker Alloy with 27 years service and later worked five years for Lebanon Steel Foundry. In his earlier years he worked on his parent's farm and for Cleona Pretzel Co. He was a member of Lebanon Church of the Brethren and was a woodworking craftsman.
In addition to his wife, surviving are son Brian M. Hoffer, Jonestown; daughter Kathy A., wife of Lowell Smith, Lebanon; grandchildren Kristen and Aaron Smith; and his twin sister Martha Funk, Fontana. He was preceded in death by brother Victor Hoffer; and sister Verna Kreiser. Funeral Wednesday at Lebanon Church of the Brethren, Lebanon. Interment Midway Cemetery.
