Thomas Kembery's Will

The last will and testament of Thomas Kembery of Adair County, Iowa.

I, Thomas Kembery, being in sound health and mind, will and bequeath my land and personal property as follows:

My wife Sarah Ann Kembery to have the land as long as she shall live with right to sell if necessary a part to pay debts for the use of herself and family, but for no other purpose. My sons shall have the use of land and shall pay to their mother one half the customary rent of such land. But if the said Sarah A Kembery shall marry again then the land shall be divided, she having one third all moneys and personal property shall be divided among the three daughters, the six hundred dollars already paid to Anna Thompson with interest at five percent (unless paid) to be charged to her share and five percent interest shall be charged to the rest as long as my wife shall live.

I authorize my wife administrator, her and my sons to be executors and managers of land and property.

My son James to have choice 160 acres of land if so much shall come to his share. Dated April 6, 1900. -Thomas Kembery
