John H. Kreider

John H. Kreider, 70, Mt. Joy RD 2, who died unexpectedly in his home Saturday morning, was a school teacher in Lebanon County prior to becoming a farmer in Mt. Joy Township 45 years ago.

The husband of Anna Kuhns Kreider, he was born in Campbelltown, a son of the late Bishop Henry K. and Katie Hoffman Kreider.

He attended Millersville State College and Lebanon Valley College. He was a member of the Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church. He served as Sunday School teacher and was a former deacon of the church.

Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, Dr. John K., East Petersburg, Pa., and Dr. Henry L., of Madhipura Christian Hospital, Madhipura, India; a daughter, Lois J., wife of the the Rev. Roy J. Peterman, Mt. Joy and eight grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Ethan A. and Herbert W., both of Campbelltown, and three sisters, Miss Mary C. Kreider, Elizabethtown; Grace, wife of Joseph A. Stoner, East Berlin, and Anna, wife of John H. Engle, Campbelltown.
