The Rev. Irwin K. Curry, 83, a minister at Balsbaugh United Christian, Hershey, died Monday at Harrisburg Hospital.
He resided at 135 E. Chocolate Ave., Hershey.
The Rev. Mr. Curry was active in the United Christian Church for more than 50 years. He served as presiding elder of the denomination in Lebanon and Dauphin Counties for 23 years.
He was past chaplain of the Hershey Ambulance Corps.
Until his recent retirement, the Rev. Mr. Curry operated a coal and feed mill business in Hershey.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Leah Baugher, Rockville, Md.; Mrs. Ray Shaver, Hershey RD 1; Mrs. Henry Stover, Hershey, and Mrs. Mary Jane Jones, at home; five sons, Dr. Samuel O. Curry, Camp Hill; Paul O., Irwin K. Jr., Jay O. and Matthew O. Curry, all of Hershey; a sister, Mrs. Mary Dupler, Hummelstown RD 1; a half-brother, Daniel Ensminger, Hershey; 24 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
