Irwin K. "Bud" Curry, Jr., 91, of Hershey, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in the Twin Oaks Nursing Center in Campbelltown.
He was born May 1, 1920 in Hershey, son of the late Irwin Sr. and Mary Ann (O'Neal) Curry.
Irwin was a Hershey High and Penn State University graduate. He retired from teaching from Lower Dauphin School District. He was a WWII & Korean War Army Veteran.
Bud was also a member of First United Methodist Church, (Hershey), a long time member of the Hershey Lions Club, the Mohler Sr. Center, (Hershey), an avid Dutchland Polkateer, skier and golfer.
Surviving are two sons, Paul Curry & his wife Michelle of Harrisburg and Irwin "Ike" Curry, III of Palmyra, is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Hess) and brothers: Samuel, Ammon, Paul, Jay and Matthew; and sisters: Leah, Ruth, Grace and Mary Jane.
A memorial service in his church will be announced at a later date. Internment will be in Balsbaugh's Cemetery at the convenience of the family In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church, 64 West Chocolate Ave., Hershey, PA 17033. Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., of Hershey, is handling the cremation arrangements.
