Richard E. Kreider

Richard E. Kreider, 74, of 408 E. Oak St., Palmyra, died Monday, July 3, 1995, in Lebanon's Good Samaritan Hospital.

He was the husband of Mary E. Moyer Kreider, to whom he had been married for 49 years. He was born in Palmyra on April 30, 1921, to the late A. Paul and Minnie Stauffer Kreider. He was a graduate of Pierce Business College and Northwestern University and was a partner in the certified public accounting firm of Grace, Reed and Kreider in Hershey, starting his accounting practice more than 42 years ago in Palmyra. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving under Gen. George Patton in the 736th Tank Battalion. He was a member of Palm Lutheran Church, a former member of the senior choir and church council, and a member of Brownstone Lodge, Hershey; Rajah Temple, Reading, Weidle Royal Arch, Lebanon, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Accountants, Lebanon Chapter of AARP; and a former member of Lutheran Social Services East Region.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Steven A. Kreider, Annville; sisters, Jeanne R., wife of Dr. Fred. O. Brandt, Palmyra, and Patricia A. Desch, Matthews, S.C., and several nieces and nephews.
