ANNVILLE Ira L. Kreider, 97, of 561 E. Maple Street, Annville, died Tuesday, November 14, 2006, in The Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of the late Josephine Ulrich Kreider and the late Margaret E. Hummel Kreider.
Born in South Annville Township on August 30, 1909, he was the son of the late Edwin B. and Katie Light Kreider. He was a retired vice president from Lebanon Valley National Bank with over 50 years service. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bellegrove, where he served on the church council and also as financial secretary. He was the treasurer of the South Bellegrove Cemetery Association, secretary of Annville Township, and treasurer of the Annville Building and Loan Association.
Surviving are a son Edwin U. Kreider and wife Jacqueline Kling Kreider of Alcoa, Tenn.; brother Elmer L. Kreider of Annville; and a sister Marie M., wife of J. Harold Heagy of Palmyra; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph M., Henry L., Herman R., and Lester L. Kreider; and two sisters, Elizabeth Kreider and Leah Gish.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Mt. Annville Cemetery. Viewing will be held Sunday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. www.kreamerfuneralhome. com
