Esther J. Gingrich, 89, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 in Spang Crest, Lebanon.
Born July 18, 1926 in Deodate, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Edith (Bricker) Kreider.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E. Gingrich in 2002; son, Barry L. Gingirch in 2007; and siblings, Kathryn, Dorothy and Russell.
She attended Living Waters Chapel, Lebanon, and enjoyed camping, cooking, canning and making a home for her family. Her greatest joy was her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Diane L., widow of Joseph Kirby of Palmyra, Robert E., husband of Patricia Gingrich of Lewes, Del., Linda K., wife of Aaron Whitman of Ono and Michael D., husband of Lisa Gingrich of Annville; siblings Elsie, wife of Angel DeJesus of Manheim, Richard, husband of Loretta Kreider of Elizabethtown and Clair, widower of Edye Kreider of Elizabethtown; sisters-in-law Betty, widow of Frances Kreider of Palmyra and Jeanette, widow of James Kreider of Hummelstown; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 N. Grant St., Palmyra. Viewings will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, both at the funeral home.
