David Kreider, of Annville, died there on Wednesday morning, from a stroke of apoplexy, with which he was stricken last Friday.
Mr. Kreider was 74 years old, a retired miller, and for many years a director of the Annville bank and Berks and Dauphin turnpike company. He was a prominent member of the United Brethren church, and a member of the board of trustees. Mr. Kreider was twice married, his second wife surviving him.
The following are the surviving children: John Kreider, of Sparrows Point, Md.; David Kreider, of Elizabethtown; Joseph Kreider, of New Haven, Conn., but now at Annville; Mrs. Alvin E. Shroyer, wife of a Highspire United Brethren minister. His living brothers are Andrew Kreider, president of the Annville national bank; Henry H. Kreider, also a director in the bank and a member of the firm of Kreider & Co., contractors; Joseph Kreider, of the firm of J. H. Kreider & Son, millers. A surviving sister is Mrs. Abraham Brightbill. All of the above live at Annville. There are also two half-sisters, Mrs. Tobias Romberger and Mrs. Lydia Kettering, of Annville, and a half-brother, Aaron S. Kreider, the shoe manufacturer of Annville and Elizabethtown. The funeral will take place on Saturday afternoon.
