Jean F. Wallower Light, 87, of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, North Londonderry Township, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, in the Hershey Medical Center.
She was the wife of Walter R. Light. Born Dec. 17, 1915, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late William and Florence Wilson Wallower. A gradate of William Penn High School, she was a secretary for GMAC in Harrisburg until she married and then was the secretary for her husband's Walter Light Insurance, Palmyra. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Palmyra and its former Young Married Couples Sunday School Class and a former member of Order of Eastern Star, Palmyra Chapter 402.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughter Nancy J., wife of Richard Calhoun of Goodyear, Ariz.; sons Barry W., husband of Miriam Light of Fitchburg, Mass., and Terry W., husband of Barbara Light of Lewisburg; sister Miriam Frazer of Harrisburg; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sister Beatrice Balthaser and brother Jack Wallower.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 520 E. Birch St., Palmyra, preceded by a viewing at 9:30. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, North Londonderry Township. Rothermel Funeral Home, Palmyra, is handling arrangements.
