Mrs. Elizabeth Kreider Light, wife of Menno A. Light, of 117 Cherry Street, Palmyra, died Thursday afternoon at the Lebanon Sanatorium, of complications, following a two weeks' illness. She was admitted to the hospital a week ago.
Mrs. Light was sixty-five years old and a faithful member of the United Brethren In Christ church. She was born near Campbelltown, the daughter of John and Mary Kreider, and lived in Palmyra for about seventeen years. She was well known and highly respected by residents of that community and news of her demise was received with genuine regret by hosts of friends.She is survived by the following children: Mrs. John Herr, of Lebanon R. F. D.; Mrs. Penrose Hostetter, of Annville R. F, D.; Mrs. Harry Walborn, of Palmyra; Harry Kreider, Annville R. F. D.; Mrs. Albert Hostetter, Annville R. F. D.; Mrs. Ammon Funk, Palmyra; Mrs. Elmer Books. Cleona; K. Byron Kreider, Palmyra; Alvin Kreider, Palmyra, and Walter Kreider, at home. One sister, Mrs. Sallie K. Dohner, a missionary of Africa; two brothers. Rev. Henry Kreider, of Campbelltown, and Rev. Daniel Kreider, of Harrisburg; forty grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
