Esther S. Heisey, 96, died Monday, April 26, 2010, in the ECC Retirement Village, Albright Campus, Myerstown. She was the wife of the late Kreider M. Heisey.
She was born Oct. 21, 1913, in Rehrersburg, a daughter of the late Samuel and Cora Keeney Ziegler.
Esther worked on the family farm and enjoyed gardening, sewing and reading. She was a member of the Midway Church of the Brethren of Lebanon and graduated from Bethel High School.
She is survived by children: Doris Seiverling of Bethel, June Heck and Susan Myer, both of Myerstown, Barbara, wife of Leslie Johnson, of MS, Glenn, husband of Jane Heisey, of MO, Paul, husband of Paulette Heisey, of Shartlesville, and Linda Heisey of Wernersville; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Mark Ziegler of Myerstown.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Gary Seiverling; brother, Henry Ziegler; and sister, Laura Bashore.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 30, at 11 a.m. in the Midway Church of the Brethren, 13 Evergreen Road, Lebanon, PA 17042, with a viewing beginning on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to her church.
