Caleb was a Church of the Brethren minister from 1955 until he retired in 1998. For many years, Caleb owned and operated a farm in Penn Township. He also operated Kreider Manufacturing, a welding company in Manheim, for many years. Caleb was a member of White Oak Church of the Brethren in Manheim where he was an elder-in-charge for 15 years.
