Lieut. Paul A. Hughes Is Casualty In France
First Lieut. Paul A. Hughes, 28, attached to an infantry regiment of the Second Division, U..S. Army in France, was killed in action on June 13, according to a telegram from the War Department to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry H. Hughes, of 2 East Penn Avenue, Cleona, today.
The telegram gives no details and indicated that a letter would follow when further information is available. He is the 40th listed "killed in action" casualty from Lebanon County in World War II. His last letter home, dated June 2, reported that he was in England.
