Mark K. Gibble Jr., 63, Richland, died Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at his residence. He was the husband of Patricia A. Doster Gibble to whom he was married 42 years on February 6.

Born in Jackson Township, PA, May 11, 1944, he was the son of Helen I. Klick Gibble of Fredericksburg and the late Mark K. Gibble Sr. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a specialist at PEMA (Pa. Emergency Management Agency) Eastern Region, Harrisburg. He was a member of Myerstown Church of the Brethren. He was past chief of Prescott and Kutztown fire companies; past president of Lebanon County Fire Chief's Association; member of Richland American Legion Post 880. He had been a state fire instructor for 25 years and was instructor emeritus of the PA State Fire Academy. He was a member of numerous fire companies.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by daughter Michelle, wife of Scott Houtz of Myerstown; son Mark P., husband of Susan Gibble of Newmanstown; grandchildren Robert, Kristine, Nicole and Patrick Gibble, Delaney and Wyatt Houtz; brother James Gibble of Fredericksburg. Funeral Monday at Myerstown Church of the Brethren. Interment Royer's Cemetery.
