Elmer S. Sattazahn, 610 N. Railroad St., Palmyra, died yesterday afternoon in the Palmyra Nursing Home. He was 80 and had suffered a stroke June 14. He was the husband of the late Sarah Kreider Sattazahn, who died Nov. 24, 1976. He was born in Lebanon County, son of the late John and Lizzie Sattazahn.
Sattazahn retired as a delivery man for Carlos Adams Construction Co., Hershey and had also served as a delivery man for Wengert's Dairy in the Lebanon and Mt. Gretna areas for six years. He and his wife has served as houseparents at the Milton Hershey School for seven years. Sattazahn had also served as the head mixer for the D.K. Bomberger Bologna Co. in South Lebanon, working there for almost 10 years. Since retirement, he worked as a custodian at the Bethany United Methodist Church in Palmyra for about six years. He was a member of the Palmyra Church of the Brethren and the Palmyra Senior Citizens.
Survivors include a son, Paul K. Sattazahn, Palmyra, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
