Stanley L. Smith, husband of Effie M. Bomberger Smith, Lebanon RD 1, died this morning in the Hershey Medical Center at the age of 67.

Born in S. Lebanon Twp., he was a son of Sallie M. Stohler Smith, Mt. Hope Rest Home, and the late Raymond Smith.

He was the retired owner of Bomberger's Bologna, Lebanon RD 1, and a member of the Iona Methodist Church. He served as president of the board of trustees of the church and chairman of the building committee when the new church was erected. He was a member of the Lebanon Rotary Club and served on the advisory board of the Dauphin Deposit Trust Co., on the board of directors at Cornwall Manor and the board of directors of the Sowers Printing Co.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by a son, Henry B., Lebanon RD 4; a daughter, Sally Ann, wife of Ronald Bressler, Linglestown; four grandchildren; a brother, Wenroy C. Smith, Saltsburg. A sister, Mildred Herr, preceded him in death.

Funeral on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from Iona United Methodist Church. Interment at adjoining Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Friends may call Wednesday evening 7 to 9 at the Rohland Funeral Home, 5th and Cumberland Sts.

Services were held this afternoon from the Iona United Methodist Church for Stanley L. Smith, husband of Effie M. Bomberger Smith, Lebanon RD 1. The Rev. Jerry Zweitzig, pastor of the church officiated.

Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter Herr, Mark Bomberger, Richard Brightbill, Ralph Moyer, Earl Hostetter and Joseph Schraff.

The Rohland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
