Henry L. Kreider

A 69 year-old local man died of natural causes at the wheel of his car Monday, reported Dr. A.H. Heisey, county coroner. He was identified as Henry Kreider, 1112 Federal St.

According to a report by Patrolman Clark Sillik, Kreider was found shortly before 6 p.m. Monday by James Buffenmeyer in his garage at 1016 Chestnut St.

Born in Lebanon Co., he was a son of the late Ammon & Mabel Bachman Lawrence Kreider.

He was a retired employee of the Lebanon VA Hospital and was a veteran of World War Two. He was a member of the Eagles, the Orioles, Myerstown American Legion and Civil Defense.

Kreider is survived by three children, LaVerne, wife of John Posey, Lebanon, Ruth, wife of Norman Halawith, Phoenix, AZ, and David, Lebanon; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sisters Ruth, wife of Fred Breckenmaker, Hershey, Mary Kreider, Lebanon, Esther, wife of Mark Peiffer, FL, and Betty, wife of George Sonnon, Lebanon.

His wife was the late Ruth A. Coleman Kreider.

The funeral was held from Rohland's and interment was in Mt. Annville Cemetery.
