More than one thousand persons attended the services Sunday afternoon for Christian S. Kreider, of South Lebanon Township, in the Heidelberg church in charge of Rev. Nathan Martin, Rev. Samuel Wenger and Rev. Aaron Heisey.
It was the largest number of persons ever to attend a service in the Heidelberg church. All available space in the church building including the main auditorium, basement and other rooms were occupied.
Pall bearers were: Daniel Grumbine, Mahlon Hibshman, Harry Risser, Samuel Bomberger, Samuel Herr and Robert B. Royer.
Interment took place in the Heidelberg cemetery. Harvey S. Wike, Schaefferstown undertaker, was in charge of all arrangements.
