Greatly shocked was the entire community of Annville, this morning, when Mrs. Dorothy Toby Kreider, wife of D. Robert Kreider and daughter-in-law of Former Congressman Aaron S. Kreider, fell over dead at her home at 103 East Main street.
She arose this morning apparently in her usual condition of health and was sitting in her room combing her hair when last seen alive. A domestic about half an hour later, 10 o'clock, had occassion to go to the room and found her on the floor dead.
Summons were broadcast in all directions for physicians, and while none were directly available, three later responded. They found life extinct and expressed the opinion that apoplexy had caued her death. While she suffered for some years from high blood pressure, there was nothing in her condition to cause any grave alarm.
She was a most enthusiastic devotee of golf, and was a member of the Lebanon Country Club and of the Harrisburg Golf Club. she was a familiar figure on golf courses here and in neighboring cities, and played a splendid game. She was also a highly interested member of the Lebanon Woman's Club, and of the United Brethren church at Annville.
Besides her husband she leaves a brother, Lynn M. Toby, of Spokane, Washington, and Mrs. Jessie R. Scott, of Idaho. There are no children.
The news of the sudden death of Mrs. Kreider created a furore of excitement in the town and the husband when notified of the occurrence and upon reaching home, was showered with condolences.
