Mrs. Lydia Kreider 223 South Ninth street, died at 3:50 Thursday afternoon at her residence. Mrs. Kreider has been ill with heart trouble since January and this affliction, accompanied by complications, resulted in her death. She was aged seventy-six years, nine months and twenty-six days.
Mrs. Kreider, living here since 1890, has made many friends and was loved by her neighbors, relatives and acquaintances. She was a loyal member of Salem Lutheran church and is remembered by the parishioners as a quiet christian, faithful communicant. Until failing health prevented, the deceased rendered service in the activities of the Mite Society, of which she was a member.
A brother, Michael Hoffman, of Womelsdorf, survives and also ten nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place Monday at 10 a. m. in the home, followed by ceremonies in the Salem Lutheran church. Rev. Keiter and Rev. Leibensberger officiating. Burial will be in the Kimmerlings church cemetery.
