Jonas Kreider, Retured Farmer, Dies At Midway

Jonas Kreider, 80, Lebanon Route Five, Midway, passed away last night after a one-year illness.

He was an active member of the Midway Church of the Brethren, having served as a trustee. He was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Smith) Kreider. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Susan nee Kettering; and the following children: J. Ralph, Myerstown Route Two; Isaac E. Cleona; Miss Elizabeth B., at home; Miss Mary H., Lebanon; Ruth, wife of Norman G. Fahnestock, Manheim Route Two; Simon K., Myerstown; Rev. Caleb A., Lebanon Route Four; Miriam, wife of Lester M. Smith, Lebanon Route Four; Henry E., Lebanon Route One; 27 grandchildren ; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary, wife of Moses Kreider, Lebanon. Two sons: David and Jonas preceded him in death.
